As of Oct. 31, 2024, Trimble Maps no longer provides update or technical support for the CoPilot version 9 application. Customers who have purchased an ActiveTraffic subscription for CoPilot 9 will continue to receive support for the traffic service only until Dec. 1, 2024.

What is happening?

CoPilot 9 was replaced in September 2016 by CoPilot version 10, which includes an enhanced user interface and a wide range of new features that improve driver safety and route compliance, and provide more much efficient route planning and navigation for commercial vehicles. CoPilot version 11 was released for Android devices on Google Play in October 2024.

CoPilot 9 customers who have not yet opted to upgrade to CoPilot 10 will no longer be able to request updates or support from our technical support team as of Oct. 31, 2024.

What do I need to do?

The vast majority of CoPilot customers have already upgraded to CoPilot 10. For them, no action is required. If your fleet is still running CoPilot 9 on its devices:

  • If you have a subscription to CoPilot, you can upgrade to version 10 at no additional cost.
  • If you have a perpetual license for CoPilot 9, you can continue using the app but will no longer receive updates or support as of Oct. 31, 2024. You can purchase an upgrade to CoPilot 10 by contacting your sales representative.

How do I know which version of CoPilot I am using?

On either version, you can go to the Settings menu > About CoPilot screen to view your version.

CoPilot 9 and CoPilot 10 also have very different navigation screens.
