(For hazmat routing in North America)

In a heavy-duty or medium-duty truck vehicle routing profile, you can specify whether or not you will be carrying hazardous materials. 

Only one Hazmat Type can be selected at a time. If your vehicle will be carrying a load that requires multiple hazmat placards, we recommend that you:

• Run a route for each placard.
• If the routes are identical, then select that route. (Provide you have followed the rules for the quantity of different commodities allowed on the same load.)
• If the routes do not match, then there may not exist a legal route for that combination of commodities for the specified origin and destination.
