(Requires CoPilot 10.26.1.303 and higher.) 


With the Notify Users messaging feature, you can send instant notifications to an individual asset or multiple assets all at once. Messages can be up to 280 characters on any topic. Drivers can view and hear the messages in CoPilot but cannot respond. 


To send a notification to multiple users

  1. In the Assets screen, select one or more Assets. (An Asset can only receive a notification if it has Activated CoPilot.)
  2. Select the Notify Users button.
  3. Type your message in the Notify Users dialog and select Send. Messages have a maximum of 280 characters.


To send a notification to a single user

You can use the steps above to send a message to a single asset, or:

  1. In the Assets screen, select a single user to open the Edit Asset dialog.
  2. Select the Notifications tab. 
  3. Select Notify User and complete and send the message as described above.
  4. In the Edit Asset dialog, you can also view the history of messages sent to that asset.




In CoPilot

In CoPilot, the message displays as a pop-up with a beeping alert. It is spoken to the driver through text-to-speech (TTS). The driver can tap OK to dismiss the message or it automatically disappears after a few seconds.
