There are a few reasons that UNKNOWN will appear on your Vehicle Summary Report.

  • The Account Manager server did not receive CoPilot’s App and Map Data call. This could be because the call was lost during transmission. This was known to happen on older v9 versions of CoPilot running on WinCE devices. This issue was fixed in v10.
  • When the server does not receive the call, CoPilot will not send another call because it already sent the call as required. The record for both App and Map Data will remain UNKNOWN. This issue was fixed in v10 and CoPilot now sends the App and Map Data call every time it’s launched.
  • The CoPilot installed on the device does not support Account Manager functionality. CoPilot version was the first version to support communication. UNKNOWN will be present for all versions older than
