Route Modifiers are road closures or roads to avoid or favor in routing that are created in ContentTools and synced with CoPilot.
Click Configure Fleet Settings in the left menu > Route Modifiers to get started. The Route Modifiers page loads with a list of your existing sets of modifiers.
On this screen, you can:
Assign Route Modifiers sets to Vehicle Groups
- Click the Route Modifier Set Name you want to assign to a Vehicle Group.
- When the Edit Route Modifiers dialog opens, check the boxes next to the Vehicles Groups to which you want to assign this modifier set.
- Select Save and Done to finish.
- The modifier set will be available for routing the next time your CoPilot devices sync with Account Manager.
- Click View Modifiers to open a map view of your modifiers in a set.
If you assign multiple Route Modifier sets to the same vehicle group, we recommend that none of the avoids or favors apply to the same road link across multiple sets. If more than one avoid or favor applies to the same link, CoPilot 10.26.1.187 and later will always obey the avoid or favor that was assigned first. That is, if you update a road link in one Route Modifier set, but do not update that same link in the other set, CoPilot still applies the earlier setting.
Assign default Route Modifier Sets
Check the box under Default Set if you want a set to be assigned to all newly added vehicle groups or any vehicles or drivers not associated with any groups.
Remove Route Modifiers sets from Vehicle Groups
- Click the Route Modifier Set Name you want to remove from a Vehicle Group.
- When the Edit Route Modifiers dialog opens, uncheck the boxes next to the Vehicles Groups from which you want to remove this modifier set.
- Select Save and Done to finish.
- The modifier set will not be used for routing the next time your CoPilot devices sync with Account Manager.
